Vlog – New Home – Over 50
Come along with me and keep me company as I launch into my first Vlog!
I’m sharing the details of my move to a new state, a preview of my new home and how I plan to decorate over the coming months.
I’ve moved in with NOTHING – not a stick of furniture, dishes, or other home items. I decided I wanted to furnish this place from top to bottom and will be working joyfully on it over the coming months.
I thought you might like to watch me create a cozy, comfortable space from scratch, so I hope you’ll join me
Plus, you’ll find out why I’ve been sleeping on my camping cot for the last 3 weeks! Join me for this fun, casual peek at my new digs!
Some of my Favorites:

I’m about to buy my third Zinus Memory Foam Mattress! I had one in my place at the beach in Northern California. I left it with my daughter and she’s crazy about it too!
This is the mattress I’m using in the master bedroom and am buying it again for the guest bedroom. It’s a 10 inch mattress with a pillow top, so it’s extremely cozy. (However, I like my beds super soft so am adding the topper below)
The mattress comes in a box, and when you open it — WHOOSSH – the mattress expands to it’s full size. Super affordable and very comfortable.
I like my bed to feel like a cloud when I crawl into it, so this mattress topper is going to be the crowning glory of my bed!
It’s extra thick, so going over the pillow top on the mattress, I should feel like I’m floating. Yippee!
I first learned about this Urea Eye Cream from Mrs. Melissa M. on YouTube. Gosh, I think she’s been talking about it for over a year!
I finally pulled the trigger and ordered it, and wow, I’m really enjoying it.
I use it primarily to super hydrate my under eyes prior to putting on my makeup. I only use a small amount, so it looks like this tube is going to last me 6 months or more.
If you have dry under eye, you might want to give this a try.
With so much flooring in my new place, I decided that the old ‘mop & bucket’ just wasn’t going to cut it. I shopped around and finally settled on this Shark Steam Mop.
I’ve used it a few times and am a fan. The steam lifts off the dirt, and dries quickly so I’m not left with wet floors. It’s easy to use and I like the fact that the mop covers are reversible and washable.
So glad I made the decision to get this – it makes house cleaning almost fun!
