New Ulta Favorites – Over 50
I’m so excited about what I’m sharing today, which is Ulta. It is one of my favorite places to buy makeup so because it’s so darn handy.
I’ll be sharing some of my Ulta favorites, plus a few tips and tricks I’ve learned along the way to make your shopping experience that much better.

Best Foundation for Mature Skin at Ulta
One of my first favorites from Ulta is the Estee Lauder Futurist Foundation. This is a beautiful foundation, and it is one of my absolute favorites.
The reason this foundation is a part of my holy grails is that it lasts really, really well. So when I want my makeup to look terrific for 12 hours+, this is the foundation that I reach for again and again.
This foundation goes on beautifully. It is lightweight yet blends out like a dream, and it doesn’t give me Polkadot pores. It has the added benefit of SPF 45, which is a nice bonus but don’t count on just this SPF for your skin.

Tarte Concealer for Mature Skin
Sticking with face products, I want to share the Tarte Shape Tape Creamy Concealer. This is the newer creamy version that just came out.
I’ve been on the great concealer hunt for several months now, and I’ve tried probably 30 or 40 concealers. Unfortunately, I have a whole box of concealers that didn’t make the cut. I finally landed on this concealer, and it is one of my favorites right now.
I love almost everything about this concealer. As a matter of fact, I can’t think of anything I don’t love except the fact that it doesn’t make my under eyes look like I’m 30, but maybe that’s just a little too much to ask!
This concealer covers well; you need just the tiniest amount. It blends in beautifully and comes in so many colors, which is important because I like to get a lighter concealer than my skin. I want my under-eye area to be brighter than the rest of my face. So it helps my eyes look more wide awake.
I like this concealer so much more now than when I first bought it. It seems to get better and better because I’m learning how to work with it. The Tarte Shape Tape Creamy Concealer is a must from Ulta!
Best Eyeliner for Over 50 Women
I can’t leave out my Loreal Le Liner. This is my go-to eyeliner pencil. These are lovely eyeliner pencils. They have a beautiful formula, and they stay put all day. Although I can still blend it out once I put it down, it doesn’t dry down too quickly.
It’s an automatic pencil, so I don’t have to worry about sharpening these. When I see this in-store at Ulta, I stock up. They have a number of colors. I also have it in brown, blue, and lots of black. The black is newer, and it’s kind of a dark gray-ish black, so it’s not too stark, but it does create a nice beautiful line.
You really can’t go wrong with the Loreal Le Liner.
Kopari Products at Ulta
A new addition to Ulta, and I was so thrilled to see this. It is the line Kopari. I’ve tried several of their products, and I use many of the products daily.
The claim to fame for Kopari is their super clean ingredients, sustainably sourced, and wonderful company.
Kopari Spritz Mist
A couple of standouts for me is the Kopari Coconut Spritz Mist. I put it on my skin often. It has a very refreshing, fine mist with a soft, pretty scent. The ingredients include Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid, and Squalane, plus it gives the most gorgeous glow.
Kopari Lip Gloss
Another product I’m enjoying from Kopari is their Lip Glossy. These are very similar to Aquaphor lip glosses. Only a little bit better in my mind, they’re a little bit slicker, glossier and they come in wonderful scents. I’ve been using the heck out of these lip glosses.
Everything I’ve tried from Kopari has been outstanding, and these two products are real standouts for me.
Best Tarte Eyeshadow Palette
Last but not least, I want to talk about my latest purchase from Ulta. It is the Tartlette Juicy Palette.
I just saw this palette in store and fell in love with it. They had a sample out, but they didn’t have any in stock. So I went back a couple of weeks later and was able to buy it. I’m really having fun playing with this palette.
It’s a beautiful kind of pink gold-tone palette. Every color I’ve tried so far is perfect. I’ve put together several looks with this palette, all of them different.
This palette has all the things I’m looking for in a palette.This palette has very light colors, and it has very, very dark colors. It has some beautiful pink tones and a beautiful gold shade, a little bit of plum. It is a gorgeous palette.
All of the shadows have gone on nicely. It’s very pigmented. They blend out well, and I haven’t had any fall-out problems with them. This new Tartlette Juicy Palette is so versatile and fun to play with!
