Makeup Reviews Over 50
Today it’s a makeup review day, and I have a few thoughts and some opinions to share with you.
I’ll be talking about two nail care products, a hair product, some makeup products, and I even have some suggestions for you that might save you a couple of dollars at the makeup counter.
Let’s hop right into the reviews!
The Modelones Pro Gel Nail Kit is an at-home gel manicure kit. When I first got it, I wasn’t sure about it because it seemed like it might be a hassle, but I’m pretty surprised about how much I like it after using it.
The kit comes with so many different items in it. There are seven different nail polish colors, a primer, a base coat, and a topcoat. It also comes with various tools and a curing light.
The process is like when I do a regular manicure, but then when I cure them, they’re done, my nails are set, and there’s no drying time. Even though there are a few more steps to doing this, it is quicker and more efficient than a regular manicure. It has taken me a few times to work with this kit to figure out how to do it really the right way.
This is a great kit at a great price. The colors are so very pretty, they’re muted and sophisticated, and I love every single one of them. Once I learned how to put the polish on, it has just been an effortless way for me to get a beautiful at-home manicure.
***UPDATE: I found the polish to not last, it chipped and peeled the next day. No where near as durable as a salon gel polish application. Unfortunately, a fail for me!
I’ve had so many of you ask me about my hairstyle lately. One of the products that has made it really easy to style my hair is this Wella EIMI . I’ve been using this one for my hair before I blow dry it, and it has made a big difference in how my hairstyles, plus it smells absolutely divine!
It’s super easy to use; I just towel dry my hair and spray it all over, massage it in and then blow dry my hair. I find that my hair is softer, has more body, and is much more manageable. If you’re looking for a good styling product, I can tell you this one has been a hit in my book.
The next product I want to talk about is one of my favorite finds in a long time. It’s the Loreal Bambi Eye Mascara. This particular mascara comes with a rubberized wand that I prefer. If you’re not into rubber wands, you probably won’t like this at all, but I happen to love this mascara application method.
This mascara is such an incredible formula. What it does is that it lengthens and volumizes and yet leaves your eyelashes a little wispy and a little bit feather-like; they’re not real heavy or dramatic.
What the formula kind of reminds me of is if Loreal Unlimited Mascara and the Loreal Age Perfect Magnifying Mascara had a baby. The Loreal Bambi Eye Mascara is the best of both mascaras, giving you that feathery light look while also lengthening your eyelashes.
This mascara has definitely been a hit for me!
