How to Get Longer Lashes FAST!

Today we’re talking about longer lashes fast and exactly how you can make that happen for yourself!

Some of you are really observant and have called me out on Instagram, and some of my videos asking if I’ve been using an eyelash serum – the answer is yes! I started using a serum about three months ago, and I wanted to test the serum out and see what it did for my lashes.

Come along and join me to see how it’s possible and what I have found out along the journey has been really interesting and useful!

History of Eyelash Serum

First, I want to talk about the history of eyelash growth serum because I think it’s fascinating, and there’s some good information in here that’s going to be valuable for you as you’re looking for an eyelash growth serum for yourself.

The original drug that grew long eyelashes wasn’t actually an eyelash growth serum drug; it was a glaucoma drug. They noticed in the trials that the glaucoma patients had very long, very fluttery eyelashes once prescribed to patients. After all, Big Pharma is committed to putting profits first. So they were determined to figure out what was in that glaucoma medication that made the eyelashes grow and package it as a lash growth serum.

The component they identified that encourages lash growth is Lumigan. Being centered on profits first, the company Allergan and their partner in this particular drug, Duke University, decided to repackage it and call it Latisse and make sure it was available only by prescription. As a result, keeping the price very high requires you to make a doctor’s visit to get yourself some.

History of Latisse

Allergan and Duke University still own the patent on the formula of Latisse, and it starts to expire in 2022 and 2024. There are a lot of different patents involved with this particular formulation. In a 2016 court ruling, they lost exclusivity to a couple of the patents, and now there are a few generic forms of Latisse out on the market.

The good news for us is there are many very effective lash growth serum’s on the market, and it gets even better a lot of them are very affordable. One thing to keep in mind when you’re looking at lash growth serums that are not Latisse; they’re not going to contain the Lumigan formula because Latisse still has the patent on it. They have been able to cobble together as a potent formula that primarily features amino acids that enhance lash growth/retention and lash enhancement.

Picking the Best Lash Serum

When you start searching for a lash growth serum yourself, you’ll notice that in the copy of the serum you’re looking up, most of them will not state that they enhance lash growth because they will get in a little bit of trouble doing that. Instead, most of them say that it is a formula to encourage healthy lashes, and they’re right! Lashes treated with this type of serum will be healthier, which will help them grow longer, last longer, and look a lot fuller.

Grande Lash MD Lash

The first one is Grande Lash MD Lash Enhancing Serum, and this is one of the most popular lash serums on the market. It boasts vitamins and antioxidants, and essential amino acids.

Based on my research, I see that the amino acids that are really affecting and impacting the lash growth, so as you look for a formula. I suggest that you focus on whether or not they contain amino acids.

 Pronexa

The next formula that is really popular is called Pronexa Hairgenics Lavish Lash Serum. This particular formulation gets rave reviews for stellar ingredients; they use castor oil and peptides. It’s interesting to me that they feature peptides as opposed to amino acids. I think the lash growth serum is based on your body chemistry, and different formulations might work for different people. I think it’s one of those things where you might need to hunt and peck around until you find just the right serum that your body responds to.

The nice thing about the Pronexa Hairgenics Lavish Lash Serum is that it’s only $28, and I think that’s quite a bargain. Once I’m done with the lash growth serum that I’ve been using, I will try this one next to review just because the reviews are so stellar and the cost is so affordable.

Revitalash

The next very popular serum is Revitalash Advanced Lash Conditioner. Notice that they’re not saying lash growth serum in the product’s name. It’s a conditioner that’s much more honest about what we’re doing with these serums. We’re conditioning our lashes and giving them the nutrients needed to grow longer and fuller lashes.

Revitalash is an extremely popular formula, and I know many people have used it with good results. I noticed on the RevitaLash website that they have the brow serum, but it doesn’t feature the eyelash serum anymore. You can find it on Amazon not sure if those are knock-offs, frauds, or just selling the end of the inventory on there.

Add a $98 price tag, my personal opinion is you can get something just as good for a whole lot less, so it’s probably not a significant loss for us that RevitaLash is no longer selling the eyelash serum.

VieBeauty Premium Eyelash Growth Serum

I have been using the VieBeauty Premium Eyelash Growth Serum. It looks like a mascara wand with a very tiny little brush on the end, and you simply brush it over your upper and lower lashes on our lash line. I’ve used it on the ends of my brows as well.

This particular serum has worked well. I have noticed a huge difference in my lashes’ length and healthiness since I’ve been using it. This serum boasts amino acids in the formulation, and it’s only $28, so it’s super affordable.

Do lash growth serums really work?

See for yourself! Here are my before and after pictures.

Eyelash Serum Results

I think it was around eight weeks from the time I started using this that I noticed my lashes were getting a little bit longer. Over the past four weeks, it’s really kicked in, so I would say three months or so months to get them to this length.

The cool thing is once you do get them this longer stage, it does stay as you continue to use the lash serum. Keep in mind with any lash enhancement serums, the results do taper off if you quit using the product, and your lashes will go back to where they were beforehand.
