Holiday Glam – Over 50
Today it’s a glamourous Holiday glam look, and I’m going to do a little bit of a different take on this holiday look!
Often for me, it’s all about the red lip. But today, I’m going to change up the color theme. I’m going for a sophisticated plum holiday glam look that will be perfect for the upcoming holiday season.
Come along and join me as I put together this sophisticated glam holiday look that will put you in the Holiday party mood!

City Beauty Plumping Lip Gloss

I’m starting off with something new and different. Usually, before I apply my makeup, I use the clear City Beauty Plumping Lip Gloss. However, I’ve recently tried another color in the line, and I have to say, I’m enamored with this color.
This is the City Beauty Plumping Lip Gloss in Plum Springs, and I’m so over the moon for this color. I think it might have even inspired today’s look. It’s gotten me interested in the plum color. It’s a beautiful, sophisticated color that is just perfect for the winter months.
Maybelline 4 in 1 Perfector

A trick I’ve been doing behind the scenes and loving is using the Maybelline 4 in 1 Perfector. I’ve been using it right underneath my foundation lately. It gives a much more glowy look to the skin.
I tap the sponge and all over my face, focusing on the high points of my face. Once I’ve applied it, I tap it in. It adds a luminous glow underneath my foundation, perfect for this holiday glam look.
Best Foundation for Mature Skin Over 50

I want a very elegant dewy foundation for this look. So I’m using Dior Forever Skin Glow Foundation. This is the kind of dress-up party foundation, not that I dress up or go to that many parties. But if I did, this is the foundation that I would use!
It comes with a nice pump applicator, and I just start with about two pumps of the back of my hand.
Then using Rephr Foundation Brush, I start to blend it in. First, I blended down my chin with my neck. Then I use my Sigma Sponge to press that into the skin. I love the sponge’s finish on the complexion. It smooths it out and makes it look lovely and dewy.
Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer Review

I’m going to use the concealer from that same line. This is the Dior Forever Skin Correct; I really enjoy using this concealer. It always works beautifully for me.
I just put a little bit underneath my eyes, a little bit on my chin, and down the center of my nose. After that, I start blending that in using the BK Beauty 205 Brush. I like using this brush because it has a little angle on it.
It’s my favorite to use with my concealer because it’s smaller and can get into all of the little nooks and crannies. Then I go back in with my sponge and tap it out.
Revlon Blush Review

I am ridiculously excited about the following product. I am going for a Mavi wine tone for the blush for this look. This is the Revlon Blush in the shade Very Berry. I think this color is just perfect for the Holiday glam look.
I take my brush, tap it into the blush, and then tap it onto my cheeks. The blush looks a bit scary when you first put it on, but once it’s blended, it looks beautiful.
Once the blush is placed, I blend it up to the high point of my cheeks, almost into my temple area. I then use my sponge to press around the edges of the blush to smooth it into the rest of the complexion.

Milani Silky Matte Bronzer

For bronzer, I’m using the Milani Silky Matte Bronzer in Sunkissed
I have had this bronzer for a long time and recently fell back in love with it.
This is such a good formula. It has the most beautiful color to add just the most perfect glow to your skin. It’s at a drugstore price which I, of course, love, and it blends like a dream.
I go in with my tapered brush and just warm the skin up along my forehead, cheekbones, and jawline. It adds just the most beautiful bronzy glow to the skin.
Milani Prep Set & Glow

I’m using an oldie but a goodie to finish off my complexion. It’s my Milani Prep, Set & Glow.
If you’re not familiar with Milani Prep Set & Glow, there’s something magical about what this does to my skin. When I’m all done with my makeup, I put this on right before I spray my setting powder, and it just does a magical kind of really subtle glowing, blurry look on my skin.
I love the youthful glow that Milani Prep Set & Glow provides all day.
