Today it’s a GRWM (Get Ready with Me), and I’ll be trying out some new makeup from a huge makeup haul that you might have seen. (spoiler – there are some winners and some losers).
I’ll be trying a new foundation from Colourpop, a concealer I’ve never tried from Revlon, a fancy new blush from Patrick Ta, a lipstick from Lancome, and pairing it with a lip liner from Loreal.
Come along and find out what you may want to add to your makeup collection and what you may want to leave on the shelf.
The Colourpop Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer is a hard no for me. I don’t think that this is the right formula for more mature skin. It is doing absolutely nothing to make my skin look better, and it seems a little dry and cakey, which I find surprising because of the hyaluronic acid.
I think this formula is just not for us older gals. I believe that it would probably be great for someone with younger skin that’s a little bit more oily. For me, it’s just not doing my skin any favors at all.
There are some foundations that I’ve tried lately I absolutely love. First, off the Loreal Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation, this is pretty on the skin, and it comes in at a drugstore price. The Estee Lauder Futurist Foundation is another beautiful look not as radiant as the Loreal but still very pretty, and then the new favorite of mine is the Dior Skin Glow Foundation. It leaves just the most luminous, glowy satin look on the skin.
So if you’re on the hunt for a foundation that makes your mature skin look a little bit better, I can tell you all three of these work for me.
The Revlon Candid Concealer is just okay. I have probably tried 10 to 12 concealers that act just like this one. It makes underneath my eyes look okay, but I don’t feel it’s done me any favors. It did cover up my dark circles, but I also think that it’s made my under eyes look a little bit more crepey and wrinkly. As far as this concealer goes, I can say this is just a sort of for me. I will use it again and keep notes, of course.
I’m still on the hunt for a great concealer. I’m looking for a concealer that not only does its job of correcting the discoloration underneath my eyes, but I want it to make my under eyes look better. I don’t know if it’s possible, but I’m going to continue to look.
I have been looking at the Patrick Ta Blush for so long. This is a really unique formula blush, and it’s very different than anything I’ve ever tried. There are two formulas in the compact a powder blush and then a cream blush. Now it would seem that you put the cream blush first and the powder over the top, but it’s actually the opposite.
The formula is so lovely and smells incredible, and it’s such a unique color. Adding the cream blush on top of the powder adds more depth and kind of a glowy finish.
I am loving this lip combination. These Lancome Lipsticks are just so divine. I have several colors, and they’re all stunning. I’ll have to say I’m really enjoying this one, in color Oo LaLa. The formula is so creamy and feels so moisturizing on the lips.
I think the lip combination today has been one of my favorite lip looks yet!
