February Favorites Over 50 – Makeup & Skincare
Today is all about February favorites, and that was the fastest month in history. I have so many exciting products to share with you.
February was a fun make-up month. I’m sharing primarily make-up, one skincare item, one clothing pick, and then one device I’m really excited about.
Join me to find out the details of exactly what I’ve been using and loving all month long!
I don’t know if I’ve been this excited or enthusiastic about an eyeshadow palette before. The Colourpop Stone Cold Fox Palette really does it for me.
I picked this up around six weeks ago, and I can’t stop using it. I have yet to come across a shadow that is a dud, every shade is beautiful, and they blend out so well. I have not experienced any fallout or kick-up. What is so exciting for me is that there are so many color combinations in this palette. I feel like I could use this palette every day for the next 20 years and not duplicate it.
It’s mostly a cool tone palette. There are a few neutral shades, a few shimmer shades that are appropriate for mature lids and not too glittery. The combinations and the choices are so extensive.
If you’ve been sitting on the fence about this Colourpop Stone Cold Fox Palette, I can tell you that I absolutely love it, and it has become one of my favorite palettes.
I found a mascara this month that I really like. It is the Clinique High Impact Mascara. This is not a new mascara; it’s been around for a long time, but I recently tried it, and I loved it.
I love this mascara because it really does lengthen and volumize my lashes and doesn’t clump or smudge throughout the day. I have a hard time finding mascaras that aren’t going to smudge underneath my eyes because when I smile, that crinkly wrinkly part hits my upper lashes and often will leave a black streak underneath.
Clinique High Impact Mascara has been almost foolproof for me!
I’m on the hunt to find the perfect concealer. I found some that I like, but I have yet to find the one as far as really enhancing my under eyes.
However, I found a great one this month. I can’t say yet whether it’s one of my holy grails, but I can tell you it’s really good. It is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost Concealer, and I am continually stunned at how well this performs. Not only because it’s a drugstore price but because it’s a stick concealer.
It goes on more smoothly and looks better underneath my eyes than every single high-end concealer I’ve tried so far. It evens out beautifully and doesn’t look cakey. It is amazing to me how good this concealer looks, and I don’t have to worry about getting too much I’ll because even when I do a full swatch underneath both eyes and blend it out with my brush, it just sinks into my skin.
I still have many more concealers to test and try, so I can’t say whether this will end up being my number one, but I can tell you it is pretty amazing.
I found a lipstick this month that is so beautiful for my skin tone. It is from Huda Beauty, and it’s called Girls Trip; it’s such a beautiful neutral color, and the formula is exceptional and so creamy.
What I love about this color is that you can pair it with different colors of lip liners, and it will really tint and tone out to match the look that you’re going for. I top it off with a little bit of the City Lips clear lipgloss right in the middle of the top, and the bottom to give just a touch of gloss.
Absolutely my favorite lipstick for the month of February is Huda Beauty Lipstick in Girls Trip.
I wanted to talk about one device this month because I did a lot of testing and found that the Myolift Mini is a much better unit for me for microcurrent.
I got interested in the Myolift Mini as a microcurrent alternative because you can use it with conductivity gloves, and the gloves help give a more detailed treatment. It gives me a lot more lift and much more definition in my face than the Nuface. I’m down to just one treatment a week with the Myolift Mini.
Also, there are different attachments that you could get with it that are so easy to use: literally, just stick them on your face, and you can sit there and watch TV, and this unit does all the work for you.
Myolift Mini is definitely a favorite of the month of February and beyond!
