Best of 2020 Over 50 – Eyeshadow + Mascara

Get ready for part 2 of the Best of 2020 for us over 50 gals with mature skin.

It’s all about the eyes today! I had so much fun putting together my favorite eye products for 2020. We’re talking about eyeshadow palettes, mascara, brow pencils, and eyeliner.

When I think about how I put these selections together – I think about having a friend come over who doesn’t really wear makeup and doesn’t know anything about the different brands. What products I would suggest to her that are great products that are totally worth the money.

Come along and join me for part 2 of the Best of 2020!

Wet n Wild Retractable Brow Pencil

One of my favorite parts of my makeup routine is doing my brows. I enjoy the whole process, and I feel it really pulls the whole look together.

My very favorite brow product is the Wet n Wild Retractable Brow Pencil. You guys have probably seen this 100 million times, but it’s really that good.

I absolutely love this pencil. It’s super affordable and accessible; you can find this pencil in almost any drugstore in the land.

This brow pencil has one of those angled tips. This makes it super easy for me to do my brows; you guys know I don’t like a hassle – I want things done quickly and well.

The formula is fabulous. I have used high-end eyebrow products, and I haven’t found one that I’ve liked more than my Wet n Wild Retractable Brow Pencil

 Wayne Goss Kohl Eyeliner Pencil

Now I’m going to hop into eyeliner pencils. I use the Wayne Goss Kohl Eyeliner Pencil to line my upper lashes as well as tightline with, and I absolutely love it.

The reason that I am so fond of this pencil is because of the formula. It has a very creamy texture that I’m able to blend out on my lids with my angled brush, but once the eyeliner has a chance to dry, it doesn’t move throughout the day.

I have fallen in love with the Sigma Warm Neutrals Palette.

For me, it is the best eyeshadow formula I have ever used; this formula is just dreamy to work with.

I find it to be very pigmented, and the colors just seem to blend themselves. When I do a look with my with one of my Sigma palettes, I feel like I hardly even have to go in with my blending brush and blend the colors out.

I leave this palette on my makeup table all the time because it is such a good formula; it comes in and works with other palettes really well.

If you’re looking for a really good formula in a neutral colorway and you don’t mind some warmth. This Sigma Warm Neutrals Palette really hit it out of the park!

Natasha Denona Glam Palette

The Natasha Denona Glam Palette caused the biggest stir of 2020, and in my opinion, all the hype about this palette is well deserved.

I am usually a drugstore makeup gal, but I don’t mind buying high end when it’s worth it. When this palette first came out, I was hesitant to buy it, but I kept seeing it and seeing the looks that were put together with this palette that I finally pulled the trigger and brought this one home.

This is a cool-toned palette with a gorgeous selection of mattes and shimmers that are just stunning. As far as a wow palette with so many beautiful shades – this one is the winner!

Loreal Age Perfect Magnifying Mascara

The Loreal Age Perfect Magnifying Mascara really does magnify my lashes!

This is my go-to everyday formula now. It is so easy to work with, and it makes my lashes look fabulous. It’s lengthening, volumizing has a deep rich black color that never clumps in my lashes.

If you’re looking for a fantastic drugstore mascara, the Loreal Age Perfect Magnifying Mascara may be the perfect fit for you!
