5 Amazing Products You Need to Try – Over 50

I have five fabulous products that someone else picked out for me, making it all the more fun! This video is in collaboration with my dear friend Mel at Mel C’s Makeup & Style.

I’m unusually excited about today’s makeup. There’s just something about someone else picking out your makeup that seems a whole lot more fun.

What Mel and I have done today is we’ve each picked five products that we are absolutely crazy about, and the other person is going to try them out. Each one of these products are things that we both really love.

Let’s hop into Mel’s top five makeup picks!

The Maybelline Brow Ultra Slim is really good. It comes in a tiny little pencil, and when they say ultra-slim, they’re not kidding! The tip is super thin, perfect for doing hair-like strokes. Making it ideal for detailed work on your brows, but it’s not so stiff of a formula that it didn’t fill the rest of my brows in quickly. The color goes on fast, and it fills in my patchy areas quite nicely, and I love that it’s at a drugstore price.

It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better – Fair Neutral

I’m so excited about the next product; the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better was actually in my huge makeup haul when I was on that big makeup buying spree that I may still be on.

I’ve heard so much about this, and I was so thrilled that Mel suggested it to me. It gave me a beautiful, lightweight coverage that evened out my skin tone perfectly. It really covered up my age spots and blended in nicely on my skin. It feels so light and serum-like and gives a more satin finish on the skin. I think the It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better is a great foundation for more mature skin!

After using the Maybelline Sky High Mascara, oh my gosh, my lashes really are sky high!

This is a great mascara; it comes in the prettiest little rose gold tube and at a drugstore price. It went on smoothly, and it really adds volume and length without any clumping. I’m going to keep an eye on it to see if it smudges at all but I’m really loving this mascara.

I have been using the NYX Lip Liner forever. I have them in several different colors, and they’re one of my favorite lip pencils.

I chose the color Whipped Caviar for today’s lip look. After using the Revlon Color Stay Matte Ink, I’ll have to say my lips don’t feel dry, which is so surprising to me.

I do love this color very much; it’s called 007 Partner in Crime. It’s a beautiful nude color, and my lips feel terrific, so if this really does stay all day, that will be quite the find.
