Today it’s a fun new Get Ready with Me featuring all NEW drugstore makeup, at least new to me with a little twist.
This is a fun all drugstore GRWM (Get Ready with Me) in collaboration with my dear friend Tamara at Tamara’s Timeless Beauty.
What Tamara and I have done is I have picked her makeup, and she has picked out my make up. All the makeup I will be trying today has been chosen by Tamara, and they’re products I haven’t used before.
I’m super excited about this. There’s just something so fun about someone else picking out your makeup. It just seems much more exciting!
Come along and join me for this fun Get Ready with Me with a little twist!
I am really loving the PIXI Correction Concentrate in Brightening Peach. The formula is very nice; it helps to warm it up a bit on your fingertips before applying it. I like to put corrector on earlier into my makeup routine. That way it has time to blend in and soak into my skin, so it doesn’t move around when I put my concealer on underneath my eyes.
Even though it’s in tiny packaging, a little goes a long way. I feel it did an excellent job brightening up my under eye.
Gosh, I am such a fan of the Maybelline Nudes of New York. I wasn’t really sure about this formula, which is probably why I kept passing it over even though it’s been on my wishlist for a long time.
The shades of this palette are so pretty. The formula of this eyeshadow is fantastic, and they blend so beautifully. I was also surprised by how pigmented the shadows were. There’s a nice balance of neutrals and tone shifts in there, so it’s not just a brown palette.
If you’re looking for a great palette at a drugstore price, I can tell you I think the Maybelline Nudes of New York might just be the ticket!
The PIXI Nuance Quartette – Sugar Blossom has four colors in just the cutest packaging. There’s a real shimmery blush, a matte blush, a bronzer, and a highlighter.
I can see that there’s not much warmth to this bronzer, which I really like. The blush is a beautiful pink, and I like it a lot more than I thought I would. It is very pigmented, so you only need to use a little bit.
The highlighter has a very pretty glow to it. I used it on the top of my cheeks and in the front as well. There’s something about a highlighter that just wakes up your face.
Just out of the gate, I’m really liking the Elf Halo Glow Setting Powder. The look is very similar to Milani Prep Set Glow, which is one of my absolute favorite makeup products.
So far I think it’s a beautiful powder that puts a nice radiant sheen on the skin at a very affordable price. I’m going to continue to use this and give my final thoughts in a few weeks.
Oh my golly, I think I might start using Loreal Voluminous Primer with my mascara all the time. I’m really amazed at how much longer my eyelashes look from using this.
I haven’t been a mascara primer girl before, but I’m going to continue using this and again update you all in a few weeks on my thoughts.
