Today I’m going to be sharing my best of 2020 skincare.
I only have 5 things to share with you today, which is interesting to me because it shows that putting together a good skincare routine doesn’t have to be complicated or confusing.
I’m really excited to share the top 5 products that I’ve picked out for 2020. When you see something featured on my channel, it represents about 30 or 40 products that didn’t make it into my channel.
Very few of the products that I get encouraged to use or see on the market show up on my channel because I don’t think they’re significant or don’t believe they are a good value.
Anything you see on my channel, particularly when it comes to skincare, means that there’s a significant reason that I want to share it with you.
Let’s hop into my favorite skincare products of 2020!
If I could only choose one device to keep in my skincare routine, it would be without a doubt my red light device.
It is an LED red light device from a company called MITO. I’ve been using it for about five months, and I appreciate having it in my routine.
The essential part of red light therapy for me is that it encourages ATP production, which stands for Adenosine Triphosphate. That is the spark of energy that goes into your cells and creates the process of rejuvenation and new cell growth.
That is why red light therapy is so good at wound healing, pain management, and just a whole host of other health issues.
There’s so much that red light therapy does for me besides anti-aging that I consider it an integral part of taking care of my health. This device is an incredible modality for just overall health, and as interested as I am in anti-aging, I’m even more interested in good health!
The reason I love the NIRA so much is that it’s done a tremendous job in making my marionette lines and my nasolabial fold look less profound and steep.
I use it every morning after my red light session, and it takes me maybe about five minutes. I don’t like anything that’s fussy or a hassle to work with, using the NIRA is just a very smooth experience.
The NIRA is a standout in my skincare for 2020.
The next device I want to talk about is not a new modality but a new device, the MyoLift.
This is a microcurrent device; when I first started my skincare routine, I used the Nuface, which I still love; however, the MyoLift does things that the NuFace doesn’t.
The MyoLift is manufactured by a company that makes in-office microcurrent devices for professionals.
One of the reasons I like MyoLift is this device’s ease-of-use. I use the glove with this device, so you don’t have to use a conducting gel. While you’re using the device, you wet the gloves, and you got your conductivity right.
I find it a very tailored way to get my microcurrent. My experience with the MyoLift on my face is that the treatments are more effective. I see a more significant lift and lifting in other areas that the Nuface wasn’t exactly hitting for me.
The treatments also seem to last longer – I can use my MyoLift a couple of times a week, and sometimes I only use it once a week. I feel like the treatments stay and are more useful for me.
The MyoLift is an excellent addition to my 2020 skincare routine.
The first skincare product I want to talk about – I am really over the moon about it, it’s the NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum.
If you’re not familiar with copper peptides, that’s okay; I wasn’t either until about a year ago.
I wasn’t that interested in adding copper peptides into my skincare routine. However, I did a test and tried the NIOD Copper Amino Isolate Serum. I didn’t think much of anything was going to happen, and boy was I wrong!
I was so stunned and surprised at the difference in my skin after using the copper peptides. It blew me away; it’s a little bit hard to describe the difference in my skin.
The one analogy that I have come up with is – you know when you’re baking a cake, and you pull it out of the oven, and it’s not quite done yet. You can tell because you tap the top, and the top doesn’t spring back. You put it back into the oven and pull it out five minutes later, and you tap the top in and the top bounces back.
That’s exactly what copper peptides did to my skin, and I’ll tell you I was so very surprised the bounciness and the firmness in my skin it’s really significantly different than before I started using them.
The other skincare product I want to talk about is the City Beauty Invisicrepe Body Balm.
I tried this City Beauty Invisicrepe Body Balm and didn’t think anything would happen because I know that creams don’t work to make your skin look firmer, but I was so surprised by the results.
It did make a massive difference in the firmness of my neck. I have looked into the ingredients, and nothing jumps out at me, and one thing I can tell you is it does take continued use of the cream for it to be effective.
I have done the deal where I’ve used it for a couple of months, knocked off a week, and my skin starts to look saggier again. It’s an ingredient in here that gives a temporary firm look to your neck.
City Beauty Invisicrepe Body Balm has earned a place in my regular skincare routine.
