Today it’s a chatty Get Ready with Me as I jump into some of the Drugstore Makeup products from my huge 2-part haul!
I’m putting together a full face and creating a soft, natural summer look perfect for a casual day. There are some real good ones in this video and a few that may become staples in my makeup routine.
Don’t you just love finding good, affordable products at drugstore prices? Me too!
Come along and join me for this fun, chatty makeup session.
Some of my Favorites:
I’m really liking this Hard Candy Smoothing Primer Balm !
It goes on so smoothly and is quite a bit more hydrating than the Elf Putty Primer. I can actually get enough for application just by swirling my fingers into the balm, I don’t have to dig it out with my nail.
It goes on easily and really smooths and blurs out my complexion. I’ve found it holds my foundation and concealer in place all day and doesn’t end up feeling dry or heavy.
This is a big win in my book!
For an easy, comfortable wear, this Amazon Summer Dress is perfect.
Super stretchy and light weight, it’s been my go-to for these hot days. The fabric is very comfortable and forgiving, but it is a bit clingy – so you may want to size up if you don’t want all your curves showing. I got mine in a medium and wish I would have ordered a large.
It comes in a gazillion colors and is super affordable.
The Missha BB Cream is still one of my all time favorite foundations.
For a BB Cream, it has great coverage and creates a very pretty look on the skin.
This is a K-Beauty item but is still pretty easy to find. I love the grey undertone which seems to work well on my skin. Maybe because it really damps done any redness on my cheeks.
You can usually find this for under $20, a real bargain for a great foundation.
One of my Amazon favorites, these Beakey Makeup Sponges are a great makeup bargain! Five wonderful sponges for under $10.
They work beautifully and clean up easily. I appreciate the smooth finish they create for my foundation and concealer and the pointed tip makes them very versatile.
Since finding these, I don’t think I would ever spend big $$ on sponges!
The City Lips Plumping Gloss formula has won its way into my heart.
While I don’t get the immense plumping I’ve seen younger women achieving, it does smooth out my lip lines and give my lips a fuller look. It took regular use for the full effect to take place, but now it’s one of my favorite formulas to put on while I’m doing my makeup.
It gives my lips a bit of enhancement for my final lipstick application, and I appreciate that!
I’m enjoying the hydrating formula of the Maybelline Lifter Gloss. I got it in the color Silk, which I love, but am interested in some of the other colors in the shades offered. I think my next choice will be Stone and Amber. The formula is like a standard sheer gloss and has a cooling effect when I first apply it. It feels very moist without being sticky and provides a nice shine to the lips.
