Top 5 At Home Beauty Tools Over 50

Today I’m sharing my Top 5 at home beauty tools that are part of my anti-aging skin care routine.

When I started my journey a year ago, I quickly discovered that a lot of good changes could be made with a few, easy to use tools. Most of them are less than a new pair of jeans and can make a huge difference in the look of our skin.

I’m breaking down the choices I’ve made, sharing a little about how I use them and what affect I think they’ve made on my very mature skin.

Nuface

Hands down my favorite at home beauty tool is the NuFace device.

I own the NuFace Mini, which is a powerhouse, petite microcurrent facial toning device that helps improve facial contour, tone, and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

It has worked wonders on my over 50, very mature skin. To watch a full demo of the Nuface, click HERE.

It’s simple to use and has been easy to fit into my skincare routine. I do a treatment 3-4 mornings a week and spend anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes depending on how much time I have.

I really got clear on how effective it is on firming and toning my skin after the holidays in January. Busy with the December season, I stopped using my Nuface regularly.

Ho Boy, I was surprised at how my droppier my face was in January!

It was a painful, yet valuable lesson and I’ve been faithful with my sessions since. Loving this little miracle!

Dermaroller

I love my dermaroller! This little tool is so quick and easy to use, and is really promoting extra collagen and elastin growth on my face and neck.

You simply run the little roller over the skin — it’s as simple as that. To watch a full video on my routine, click HERE.

I focus primarily on my deep lines and wrinkles, my crows feet, the marionette lines around my mouth and the lines around my lips and the surface of my lips themselves.

There are so many compelling stories of women who have increased and ‘plumped’ their lips from dermarolling, I’m hoping to be one of them!

Currently, I’m dermarolling about once a week. It takes 10 minutes and is so easy to do.

Jade Roller & Gua Sha Stone

I love both my Jade Roller and Gua Sha stone for a soothing, fluid draining massage of both my face and neck.

Both are kept in my freezer so they are nice and cooling when placed on the skin. I use a standard lymphatic release pattern with both, working from the top of my eye area down to the bottom of my neck.

I love the way they both reduce puffiness in my face, particularly under my eyes and along my jawline. It’s super easy, feels so good and the results are worth it!
